You've heard it before. 'We're different... We're innovative.' Well we're not claiming to one-up our competition with another hollow statement for you. Actually, our field is changing dramatically and we may just be the first to point it out.
The fact that today's technology can do a limitless number of things for you isn't a boost to your day – it's a threat to your sanity. For many, it's a dark cave filled with magic, mystery and peril. So our role has become travel agent, concierge, and museum curator. It's a task that heavily involves identifying where not to take you, and what you don't have time to look at. Our job is to present only what's right.
Computer and automation work is more creative than ever, and we see ourselves as a design firm. Technology is not only a raw medium like any other, it's the most powerful medium in existence. If you're interested in exploring what a group of talented and creative people can do for you, then get in touch.

Additional Information:

Users
Our apprecation for the user is central to the philosophy that drives our company. To see an end user as the squeaky wheel in the system is a complete misunderstanding of the role that technology plays for us. It's an accessory to life, not a driver. And it's when technology is placed in the driver's seat that things go wrong. We strive to form proof that focussing on the end user experience will always yield the best results for systems design, no matter what the system. Beyond that, systems must satifsfy the needs of the enviromnent that supports the user also, wether within architecture or ecosystem.
Suppliers
A solutions agnostic approach is one that doesn’t rely on the same familiar or profitable solution over and over, because that would over-generalize and ignore a client’s specific characteristics. Rapid change in our industry makes complacency a big mistake. We therefore constantly investigate and test new and competing equipment brands enabling a balance between relying on familiar brands for stability and deploying alternatives to meet specific client needs. Our suppliers are our connection to the sea of hardware out there, and we rely on supplier relationships for a dynamic hardware base.
Staffing
Xprt approaches staffing from the standpoint that specialization is counter-productive to what we do. Instead we value team member for their ability to learn quickly and insatiably, because the most challenging part of our work is the rapid turnover rate of technologies. Our staff are required to communicate complex information effectively and develop a rapport with clientele. Clear communication about technology is critical to our work, so it’s of serious consideration in hiring. We encourage our staff's exploration and regular exposure to new technologies, so our staffs interests valuable in our work. We strongly support our staff’s inclination to enjoy what we do.
Management Team

Daniel Sacks is the President and founder of Xprt Integration. After starting his career in business and IT by opening Imaginative Computer Solutions in 1994, his entrepreneurial spirit and drive led the company's growth to become a premier lower mainland IT provider within three years of opening. With a continually expanding skill set, Daniel then started both an internet service provider called ICS Net and a web application development firm called iCreate. Daniel was recognized for his successes in 1999, winning the RBC Entrepreneur’s Award for BC.
Today, Daniel remains successful by staying directly involved with technology, providing both business and technical leadership. Certified with partners like Novell, Microsoft, Intel, and Control4 he continues to lead by example, directly involved in day to day implementation. With in-depth knowledge of the technology Xprt delivers, Daniel is able to keep an eye to the future as digital technologies merge to yield new benefits for clientele.
Benjamin Sacks is the Director of Technology and co-founder of Xprt Integration. While always an early adopter of technology, he began a career surrounding IT in 1995 in a role providing technical support for internet service. That position built a fundamental perspective that technology is for people and should be understandable, usable, and enjoyable. He learned that forgetting about the human factor is one of the biggest mistakes to be made in this field. Today Benjamin is interested in new technologies that work together seamlessly to make lives easier and more efficient. A recognition of the benefits that lie in areas where technologies converge motivates Benjamin to identify and exploit these areas for Xprt's clientele.
In addition to receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Benjamin holds masters level certifications in Novell and Microsoft, as well as other designations in IT hardware, project management, and home automation. He pulls all of these skills and experiences together, leveraging his ease with people to help home and business users get the most of their technologies and live fuller lives as a result. Recently engaged, Benjamin continues to put down roots in Vancouver and develop his career helping people enhance their lives through better use of technology.
Rob Sunderland fills a unique role as Director of Design for Xprt Integration. Rob's analytical nature is valuable in negotiating the current lay of the land in our industry and understanding where it's likely take us in the future. Having a background outside the realm of technology brings a voice of realism to the relationship between technology and life. Rob feels that a philosophical approach to technology's role in our lives is essential, as we incorporate and grow dependencies upon it.
Following a career in communication design and creative marketing (BFA, University of British Columbia; BD, Emily Carr Institute), Rob's experience has allowed Xprt to adopt design methodology throughout the company's processes, and serves a vital need for communications. With the ability to clearly communicate about technologies, engaging clients in the process of introducing new systems into their lives is made both meaningful and rewarding.
